About the role

As part of our Arborist team, you may work in one of several key roles, depending on your experience and interests:

  • Climbing Arborist

  • Junior Consulting Arborist

  • Tree Health Care Technician

  • Tree Health Care Supervisor

In any of these positions, you’ll help care for trees across residential, commercial, and municipal properties through pruning, removals, planting, and plant health treatments. You’ll collaborate closely with senior arborists and supervisors to deliver excellent results and uphold Maple Hill’s reputation for safety, precision, and professionalism.

These are full-time position is based out of our Burlington office.

 

What you’ll be doing

• Operating and maintaining specialized equipment safely, including chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
• Using skid steers, bucket trucks, and cranes as part of day-to-day operations
• Performing pruning, trimming, and removals following arboricultural best practices
• Providing plant health care treatments such as deep-root fertilization, systemic injections, and pest management
• Preparing arborist reports and communicating with clients and team members
• Supporting your crew by upholding safety protocols and contributing to a positive work culture

 

What we’re looking for

• A commitment to safe work practices and continuous learning
• Applied knowledge of standard arboriculture and urban forestry techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills — reliable, self-motivated, and respectful
• Understanding of tree biology, pest identification, and disease management
• Class G driver’s license and clean abstract (ARZ preferred)
• Willingness to work toward ISA Certification and other industry accreditations
