About the role

You will be part of a team that believes in the above values as much as you do and works every day to uphold those values. Working alongside like-minded arborists, you will provide top-quality tree care services to many residential, commercial, and municipal clients. All team members work with senior management, our sales arborists, and the scheduling supervisor to ensure that organizational processes run effortlessly and efficiently. Full-time positions are available at our Burlington office.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Maintaining and operating specialized equipment safely and responsibly, including chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws.
  • Operating special equipment such as skid steers, mini skid steers, bucket trucks and cranes.
  • Using all of the above plus climbing and rigging skills, you will perform trimming, pruning, and removing trees and shrubs following standard arboriculture practices.
  • Providing plant health care services such as deep root fertilization, systemic injections, pheromone traps and other IPM methods to improve plant health and vigour.
  • Providing arborist reports and consultation to a wide range of clients.

 

Requirements

  • Willingness to work towards ISA Certification, Tree Risk Assessment Qualifications, and a general desire to continue improving skills and development.
  • Applied knowledge and understanding of standard industry practices.
  • Good people skills; self-motivated; willing to work as a team.
  • Good knowledge of plant physiology and the ability to diagnose and remedy significant pests, diseases, and tree disorders.
  • Minimum Class G driver’s license and clean abstract
